Variety.com has the breaking news: Ryan Reynolds will star as Green Lantern. I don't have any particular feel for that actor's abilities, but at least it wasn't Justin Timberlake who got the role (as was recently rumoured).
I'd really, really love to see a great Green Lantern movie - and the potential is there, considering the source material and central concept - but I'm not holding my breath at this point.
