As promised, here are the answers to the recent trivia quiz, (click on the "comments" link to see them) as well as updates to the Blog Points. And to anyone who didn't get their answers in in time: you need to check my blog more frequently, foo!
Blog Points awarded:
PeterJ - 6 BPs (#s 3,4,7,8,10,&Bonus)
Shane - 5 BPs (#s 1,4,6,9&10)
Tim - 7 BPs (#s 1,3,4,6,7,9&10)
Vicki - 2 BPs (#s 2&8)
Nobody got # 5, but every other question - including the Bonus - was answered correctly by at least one of the four respondents. Not bad at all! Congratulations to all four!
PeterJ has also passed the 25 Blog Point mark, which means we'll have to figure out something for him.

1) What Canadian doesn't know that it was Calgary Flames (losing in a close match to Tampa Bay Lightning in 2004), Edmonton Oilers (just coming up short against Carolina Hurricanes in 2006) and Ottawa Senators (not really putting up much of a fight against the Anaheim Ducks in 2007)? Bah!
2) The Wizard of Oz of course popularized that expression, and even showed us an actual horse of a different colour, back when movies were mostly in black & white!
3) Washington State was the home to TV's Twin Peaks
4) The Quarrymen were the early Beatles, as almost everyone seemed to know
5) Nobody but nobody knew that Iron Man always fights the Mandarin, although probably they will after the Robert Downey, Jr film comes out (if it's any good)!
6) Less than a year ago, it was St. Louis Cardinals defeating the Detroit Tigers in a World Series that didn't really live up to the hype
7) John Hurt, in The Elephant Man, uttered those famous words that had nothing to do with apes!
8) Something I only discovered very recently was that Joss Whedon was one of the writers of Toy Story. He's everywhere, that guy!
9) If they don't teach this in school, what are our tax dollars paying for? Naturally the original X-Men were: Scott "Cyclops" Summers, Jean "Marvel Girl" Grey, Bobby "Iceman" Drake, Warren "Angel" Worthington and Henry "Beast" McCoy!
10) Just about everybody knew that Ritchie Valens died with Buddy Holly, but only one of you had the extra trivia-sense to remember it was Waylon Jennings who gave up his seat on that fateful flight.
