With their loss to the Flames tonight, the Rangers have now posted the following results in their games against Canadian NHL team thus far this season:
Toronto: 1-0 W in SO, 5-2 L
Edmonton: 3-2 L in SO
Ottawa: 2-1 W in SO, 4-1 L
Vancouver: 6-3 L
Montreal: 6-2 L
Calgary: 3-0 L
All of which means that they're 2-5-1 in those 8 games (with both wins requiring a shootout to pick up the extra point), despite being 18-10-2 overall! (Looking on the bright side: they're currently 16-5-1 against the American part of the league!) Worse still is the fact that they've been outscored 28-13 over that portion of their schedule, which is absolutely disgusting for a team that's supposed to be (according to the standings) near the top of the league.
Enough with the Canadian teams, already! I can't take much more of this!! Although the timing is perfect (considering that they've now lost 2 games in a row, getting outscored 9-2 in the process) for the traditional slump-leading-up-to-Christmas that always marks the start of the holiday season...

I guess it's a blessing that there are only 6 Canadian NHL Teams.
