A Couple Interesting Links

Both from Geek Monthly:

1) GM resurrecting Electric Car: Looks like the documentary Who Killed the Electric Car may've actually had an impact after all! And with An Inconvenient Truth rocking the world these days, perhaps the power of the documentary has been underrated of late!

2) Clint Eastwood to direct JMS's The Changeling film: Couldn't have more respect for Eastwood as a director these days, so having him handed the reins of Straczynski's script can only be a very good thing.

I suppose Clint's a good second choice... you know, if you absolutely have to take him. :)

Can't help but think I saw news of the Volt a while back, but I don't remember where. Wonder how long this one will last?

By 2010! They had a working electric car and it is now going to take them 3 years....pathetic! They shouldn't get any brownie points for this.

Good news on a good director on a comic movie.

Don't think The Changeling is a comic book movie, although it does have the name of a Teen Titans member!

From the Wiki:

Changeling is the name given to two different comic book characters with shape-shifting abilities. One of them appears in DC Comics and the other appears in Marvel Comics.

I think the Marvel one is an X-Men villain, but I'll have to go look it up to be sure.

The DC one is Garfield Logan, aka BeastBoy, one time mascot of the Doom Patrol and current member of the Teen Titans.

Yup, he was an X-Men villain who was used as a plot device after they killed of Prof X and then had a change of heart and wanted to bring him back. Turned out the Xavier who died was a reformed Changeling, covering for the Prof while he was off on some top-secret mission.

Hey, it's comics.. what do you expect?
