Silver Age Comic Trivia VIII

Time for another easy one: After the team was originally formed, who was the first new member to join the Justice League of America?

Yesterday's Answer: As you can see in the image to the left (although you'll have to squint), postman Willie Lumpkin offered himself up as a potential new Fantastic Four member on the basis of being able to "wiggle [his] ears real good"! Hot-shot Johnny Storm, standing behind him, got a good laugh out of it, and hopefully you did, too!

That's an easy one?? I have no clue, so I will guess Aquaman.

Black Canary (?)

Damn. Knew the wiggle ears answer, but have not been keeping apace with all this blogging.

You are a machine.

I want to say Green Lantern, but I think he was an original...

To Boneman above... I'm pretty sure Aquaman was an original. Wasn't he? (now I'm second guessing myself)

Don't know if this is cheating, but wasn't the 'original' group made up of;

Superman
Wonder Woman
Batman
Aquaman
& Flash

Don't quote me, but I'm pretty sure thats the lineup.

I'm sticking with Green Lantern..... FINAL ANSWER.

Shane's come the closest to the right answer so far (though no one's gotten it yet). For the record, the original seven JLAers were:

Aquaman
Batman
Flash
Green Lantern
Martian Manhunter
Superman
Wonder Woman

(If they're not teaching that in school these days, what are they teaching??!

Ahhhh I thought Green Lantern was an original, but I second geussed myself. And I TOTALLY forgot Martian Manhunter.

Should have known Green Arrow! Do I get half a blog point for having the proper colour? lol

No Blog Points up for grabs with these questions, as I figure they're too hard and wouldn't want to discourage folks who otherwise have a reasonable chance when it comes to Blog Points. These Silver Age questions are more intended to help me study for the upcoming panel in Chicago.

But yes, you came closest with Green Lantern (who once shared a comic with Green Arrow, as a matter of fact!)
