The Rest of the Story

PeterJ recently posted a link to TVLand's 100 Greatest TV Quotes and Catchphrases that was quite interesting and fun to read. But of course, with any list like this, I can't help but start thinking of ones that didn't make the list. And what good's having your own blog if you don't use it to share those sorts of thoughts with the rest of the world? ;-)

Here are ten that came to mind this morning:

"Good evening, I'm Chevy Chase and you're not!" (Chevy Chase, Saturday Night Live)
"Loooook-ing goooood!" (Chico Rodriquez, Chico and the Man)
"Plop, plop, fizz, fizz, oh, what a relief it is!" (song, Alka-Seltzer ad)
"Shazam!" (Gomer Pyle, The Andy Griffith Show)
"Steve Austin, a man barely alive..." (opening voiceover, The Six Million Dollar Man)
"Well doggy!" (Jed Clampett, The Beverly Hillbillies)
"We make money the old fashioned way... we earn it!" (John Houseman, Smith Barney ad)
"Who shot JR?" (everyone, Dallas)
"Why me? Why? Why?" (Nancy Kerrigan, after attack by Tonya Harding and friend)
"You may remember me from such roles as..." (Troy McClure, The Simpsons)
"You missed me by that much!" (Maxwell Smart, Get Smart)
