OK, so technically he was blogging long before I started, but why let details get in the way of catchy title? Thanks to PeterJ, I discovered Canadian funnyman Rick Mercer's blog today and laughed more than a few times while reading recent entries. His description of the Income Trust debacle by the Tories last week included the following gem:
"Politicians love to make promises directly to seniors because they know seniors deserve a society’s respect, plus seniors have nothing to do all day so they actually vote. Election day and a slice of lemon meringue is a big day out for the blue rinse set."
Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys a little Canadian humour between viewings of 30 Rock and The Daily Show.
