We're watching last week's episode of CSI, which was noteworthy at first only for featuring Alan Tudyk (Wash, from Firefly and Serenity) as a pedophile. But then it got weird: the storyline is all about an Amber Alert going out for a couple of missing children and Tudyk's character getting burned out of his house (he's always attacked during Alerts because his neighbours know of his past), but while this is happening in the show, an actual Amber Alert comes across the screen! At first I thought it was part of the show, but no, it appeared to be the real deal, for an actual missing child, not the fictional one from the episode. How coincidental (and very sad) is that? Or did CBS time it that way intentionally, hoping to get better results based on coinciding it with people feeling bad about the character in the story?
Memorable line of dialogue: deadbeat dad referring to spousal support payments as "vaginamony"!!
