He used this one on me at work, so I'm going to pass it on to the world.
Consider the following four words:
absurd, high, delight, start
Now determine which one of the following words most belongs in the above group:
a) soft
b) plane
c) nose
d) great
So which word, and why?

I know which one it is, but I'll let others tune in and make their efforts before I give it up. ;)
I still can't see the damned pattern!! Hinckley, you'll get yours!
What a minute...I thought it was a sequence thing..and apparently it's note because you put the first 4 words down in a different order. Now wonder I couldn't figure it out...I didn't know the rules!! Hinckley!! You'll get yours!!
And yes, I realize I can't always type properly spelled words....I'm going to blame Hinckley for that too!
I'm sure PeterJ already knows this, but for anyone else who's interested (since no one seemed to post the answer): Each of the four original words starts off with two consecutive letters, alphabetically speaking:
ABsurd ("a" is followed by "b" in the alphabet)
HIgh ("h" is followed by "i")
DElight ("d", then "e")
STart ("s", then "t")
So clearly the correct choice to include with this list is:
c) NOse ("n" is followed by "o" in the alphabet)
None of the other choices follow that pattern.
