Ottawa scored the first 5 goals, to go up 5-0 very early in the 3rd; the Rangers scored the next 4 to make it close at 5-4 with about 9 minutes to go, and then Ottawa got (probably) an empty net goal to win it 6-4. Had the Rangers scored that elusive tying goal before the empty-netter, it probably would've gone down as one of the greatest comebacks ever, since you don't see many 5-goal, 3rd period leads blown in the NHL. And you still didn't tonight.
So that puts the losing streak at two. Count along with me as it grows!
(Considering how bad a team the Senators were early in the season, it's really too bad that the Rangers only got to play them once over that stretch, while playing all four of their games against the red hot Sabres! Oh well.)

I was personally at a game many years ago at Maple Leaf Gardens where Toronto was hosting the Boston Bruins. Boston took a 6-1 lead into the 3rd period, and lost 7-6 right before my eyes.
They don't happen often..and sadly, when they do, it appears that the Bruins are always on the short end of the stick.
