What's With All The Streaks?

With their loss to the Islanders tonight - their fifth loss in a row to the Isles - the current Rangers' winning streak comes to an end at four games. Here's the way the last 20 games, prior to tonight, have gone:

4-game losing streak
5-game winning streak
7-game losing streak
4-game winning streak

and no doubt tonight's loss will start another extended string of losses.

Crap like this is awfully hard on a fan's heart! How about mixing it up a bit, boys? Maybe a win and a loss and a couple wins and an overtime loss and a win and...

Boston is truly THE most useless team in the NHL today. I can appreciate your chagrin at the Rangers swapping winning streak for losing streak and so on. However, to watch the Bruins completely disintegrate in the 3rd period is leaving a very bad taste in my mouth. Last night's 2-0 dominance of Ottawa for 2 periods, only to give up FIVE, yes FIVE, unanswered goals in the 3rd makes me want to buy a ticket to a Bruin home game JUST so I can dump beer on that idiot, useless, good for nothing coach.

Sometimes I think being a fan of St. Louis would be easier...I'd expect them to lose, and they would, never giving me ANY inkling that they MIGHT win..they just lose continually. Boston on the other hand flirts with averageness...making fans think that they might actually show complete domination in a game. But alas, the NHL Rules still state that an NHL game is 3 - 20 minute periods...not 2.
