This was our movie choice for New Year's Eve 2006, and it was a great one! Tammy gave Vicki this DVD for Christmas, and I had my doubts. But with Lasse Holstrom directing (of My Life as a Dog, and Cider House Rules fame) and Robert Redford and Morgan Freeman starring, it was a beautiful little film. I kept thinking about how much I was enjoying it and how much most people would not. No car chases, very little action and lots and lots of character development! Just like a John Sayles or Atom Egoyan movie, which explains why it was so well-received in our household!
For those who enjoy that sort of film, it's highly recommended. For the rest of you, rent the latest Jackie Chan or Adam Sandler flick instead!
