2) re: your comment on ron's new blog. another good nickname for our region, courtesty of Deloitte, is SWO (south-western ontario, of course). pronunciation seemed to be mostly SW-oh with the occasional sw-ooo.

The bank used to break the country into regions, and South Western Ontario Region gets referred to as SWOR (pronounced like "swore"). I still use that sometimes!
